The year has been busy for us, many weddings, putting up our new website, travelling a few times to Italy and never having much time for us to enjoy some days off. Now, where the season is cooling off a bit here in Melbourne, we get a chance to catch up with our blog entries from recent weddings. We have been truly blessed throughout the year with our couples, never experienced anything bad and thanks to well planned schedules each of them run more or less smoothly.
So we were honoured to be a part of Azra & Ben’s wedding day, a young couple putting together an intimate celebration of their love with close family members and friends. As usual we had first the preparation of bride and groom, before we had a fun and heard warming ceremony at the beautiful gardens of Roselyn Court in Essendon. Unfortunately, this amazing venue has closed down now, so this wedding was our last one there. After the ceremony we drove with the newlyweds and their bridal party to the Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne, to photograph there the portrait photos. The gardens are way too big to use all the amazing spots it offers, so we got lost in time and run out of it to drive to the beach in Port Melbourne, as it was usually planned. But just because we didn’t have time on the wedding day, we offered them to continue with the beach shooting another day if they wanted to dress up again. And they said gratefully yes, having the relieve of not missing out on it due to the traffic we had to come.
Once we arrived back at Roselyn Court, we used the stunning wedding car they hired for some more photos and captured then the rest of the night with lots of good food and great music to dance to. We enjoyed every minute and had a few weeks later the beach shooting to complete the portrait session. We wish both a happy and long life together and can’t thank enough to let us join them on their journey.
