After we spent nearly 2 month in Europe during the Australian winter time, we came back in the beginning of August to capture 2 weddings in Melbourne, before we had to fly back to Italy in the beginning of September. This was quite a bit of travelling back and forth, but we love to be able to capture weddings all around the world. So we had another two weddings in Italy in September.
We knew Irene casually from our lunch breaks in Grosseto at the Bar, which she owns and runs with her two sisters. She and Luca celebrated a church ceremony in a small village, Montorgiali, outside of Grosseto and finished off the evening with a reception at a quite new venue in Colle Lupo. It started with the unconventional integration of Luca’s dog in the church during the ceremony, which was very unusual to be accepted. His little special fella escorted him with his mother down the aisle and waited there with Luca for the bride’s entrance.
Very special to us was, that Alessandro Golini was playing his Violin for the ceremony. His music is absolute incredible; giving us goosebumps and lets us appreciate even more that we were honoured to capture his wedding two years ago.
The daughter of the the young couple was having her fair share in attention during the ceremony, which both didn’t bother much, as they were very easy going and relaxed. So we had great opportunities to get some fun photos 🙂
After the ceremony the couple was blessed with a lot of rice and confetti cannons and followed by portraits in the little town of Montorgiali, before we headed off in the direction of College Lupo, where the couple was having an outdoor reception. Unfortunately the roaring thunderstorms, which rumbled all around the area, brought rain to the venue and half way through we had to relocate to the indoor alternative. We finished indoors the dinner and enjoyed the rest of the evening with dancing and the common Italian formalities. It was a bit chaotic, as not much was planned, so we just had to follow the flow, but we had a great time.
Two days after the wedding the flight back to Melbourne was awaiting us and we jumped right back into the wedding season in our current home town. So there will be plenty of more weddings to follow.
