In March we had the opportunity to capture the first part of this couple’s weddings – the Australian countryside Edition with their family and friends. Few family members and friends of Jenny had the possibility to get over from Germany, but not everyone. So they decided to celebrate as well in Germany, a party which was joined as well by some Australians. So some of them were lucky enough to have two wedding celebrations of this gorgeous couple. And so were we.
Having been in Europe already, it was easy for us to fly from Italy to Germany and photograph the German Edition. The day started in Wiesbaden with more or less full sun and over 30 degrees. So it was definitely not cold. We met with the couple and family members in front of the Casino in Wiesbaden Centre, where we started with family photos and afterwards continued there in the gardens with portrait photos of the couple. Once we had done enough photos, we drove to the Chausseehaus, a beautiful venue in the outskirts of Wiesbaden.
At the Chausseehaus we had a beautiful ceremony, followed by the German custom of cutting a heart from a sheet, where the groom and bride have to work together and have to step through afterwards. There are so many different customs and traditions in Germany, that it’s always hard to plan what the families and guests have planned for the newlyweds. This time, it was only the heart-cutting, followed by a lovely reception throughout the evening at the venue with traditional German food.
We can’t thank this gorgeous couple enough, for letting us capture both of their DIY weddings, which were so different in many ways but we enjoyed every minute of each of them! Thanks!!!
